    · Manage the enrollment and waitlist process of new families

    · Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children and staff.

    · Ensure that the center’s facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.

    · Evaluate and request the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies to supervisors.

    · Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.

    · Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.

    · Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and center events.

    · Provide supervision, leadership, and support to all center staff.

    · Conduct ongoing informal and annual formal performance evaluations of center staff.

    · Ensure licensing requirements are always met.

    · Prepare for state evaluations, and regularly fulfill all state requirements/procedures.

    · Report suspected neglect and/or child abuse by staff or parents to DCFS.

    · Seek and interview new potential staff, when applicable.

    · Fulfill requests pertaining to the center’s well-being by the owner.

    · Substitute/assist for staff when needed.

    · Create media promoting the center.

    · Create weekly updates for parents (Newsletter).

    · Implement and enforce center policies.

    · Accurately file and manage student and staff information (Digitally and physically).

    · Orient new employees on center procedures/policies

    · Organizes monthly schedules for field trips, special events, and holidays.

    · Ensure validity of staff and student documents. (CARI, CHRI, etc.)

    · Complete payroll on a bi-weekly basis

    · Manage staff payroll data ensuring its validity

    · Complete standard payroll duties including managing new and existing staff members, adjusting pay, and ensuring payroll information is submitted correctly

    · Provide a written report of all staff members after 3 months, and every 6 months thereafter

    ***This position can be held together with the Head Teacher position based on applicable qualification
