    Are you a versatile hero with a passion for both children and cooking? Join our preschool family as a Support Specialist and Cook! In this exciting dual role, you'll be our classroom superhero who swoops in where needed AND our culinary wizard who creates delicious, nutritious meals that fuel our little learners' growing bodies and minds. Your day will be filled with high-fives, story time, creative activities, and the satisfied smiles of children enjoying your tasty creations. No two days will be the same in this dynamic position where you'll make a meaningful difference in children's lives through both nurturing support and nourishing food!

    Key Responsibilities

    Classroom Support

    Float between classrooms to maintain appropriate teacher-child ratios when regular staff are absent

    Assist lead teachers with daily activities, lessons, and classroom management

    Support children's learning and development through positive interactions

    Help with classroom transitions, outdoor play, and naptime supervision

    Assist with daily cleaning and sanitizing of classroom materials

    Prepare and organize classroom materials for educational activities

    Food Service

    Plan and prepare nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks

    Follow all health department regulations and food safety guidelines

    Accommodate special dietary needs and food allergies

    Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment

    Manage food inventory and place orders as needed

    Keep detailed records of meals served and special dietary accommodations

    Ensure timely meal service according to the daily schedule

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required

    12 units in Child Development required

    Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire

    Previous experience working with young children

    Basic cooking skills and knowledge of nutritional needs for young children

    Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

    Strong communication and teamwork skills

    Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs throughout the day

    CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

    Mandated Reporter Certification

    Schedule

    Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday during regular preschool hours.

    Work Environment

    Fast-paced, child-centered environment requiring the ability to multitask and transition between kitchen and classroom responsibilities throughout the day.
