    As Office manager at Primrose School of North Edison, you’ll help to create a fun, safe environment for little ones as they explore and learn through purposeful play that nurtures their social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development. You will be the first person a parents and children when they arrive in the building daily. The job includes: screening the children daily for illness and walking them to their designated classrooms, answering phone and taking messages, helping support building needs and could step into a classroom if needed. The office manager would follow up on leads, book tours and be an intermediary between the parents and school so communication is key. The office manager must be proficient in Microsoft suite, great interpersonal relationships other, approachable, outgoing and a love for children. You must be able to lift 35 or more pounds This job does include face time with parents so anyone who applies would need to be a great note taker, shows confidence in their communication skills. *Knowledge about early childhood education preferred.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Maintains overall professional personal appearance and well-spoken

    Ability to answer phone calls and schedule appointments for interviews and tours.

    Create tour and enrollment packages and perform necessary follow ups.

    Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers

    Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of North Edison and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children

    Ensure the school and playground is well kept, clean, attractive, and safe

    Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions

    Perform other duties as needed by the school

    Desired skills and experience:

    Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power point

    1-2 years experience in an office/school/business environment preferred

    Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred

    Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
