Responsibilities
Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
Talk continuously to children using rich, positive and encouraging language.
Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene and good manners.
Assist in maintaining spaces clean and sanitized at all times.
Communicate effectively with staff.
Change diapers and assist with toilet training as needed.
Plan, organize and execute games, arts and crafts with infants and young toddlers.
Collaborate developing an Emergent and Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Spanish required. Spanish should be your first or second language.
Available Mondays through Friday from 7 am to 1 pm with a paid 15 minute break.
Have a minimum of 12 quarter units of ECE or commit to take classes to obtain them.
Strong work ethic.
Adaptable and flexible team player. An eager learner who can adapt to our work environment and culture.
Patient and enthusiastic team player who has understanding of child’s development and needs.
Work requirements
We are looking for a teacher who is always busy and who can move fast if needed. You will be expected to play with the children, feed them, clean them, change diapers, observe them, help sanitizing and cleaning the facility. You will be in constant communication with the other two teachers to prioritize and fulfil all the operations' needs.
If you are a person who enjoys having free time and needs to constantly sit down or have several breaks during work hours, this position would not be able to fulfill your needs.
Bend, reach and lift up to or above head.
May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
Kneel or sit on floor for up to twenty minutes at a time while working with children.
Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment.
Live Scan clearance.
First Aid Pediatric CPR training preferred.
Mandated Reporter Training.
Current TB Test clearance, MMR, Tdap and influenza vaccines.
Fully vaccinated against COVID with boosters included.
Benefits
Competitive salary. $26 per hour to start with opportunities to apply for a 5% raise every 6 months.
10 days of paid vacation in the summer ( 2 weeks + 4th of July holiday)
10 days of paid vacation in the winter ( 2 weeks + Christmas and New Years holidays)
5 days of paid vacation in the Spring ( April 7th-April11th)
40 hours of Sick time and 5 paid personal days.
Virginia's Home Daycare will pay the tuition for ECE classes to obtain a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Foothill College or similar institution.
