About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team at California Heights United Methodist Children's Center in Long Beach, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young children and be a part of a supportive and nurturing educational environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the center's curriculum and educational goals

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow

Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate with parents/guardians

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Requirements:

Minimum of 12 ECE units and a valid California Child Development Teacher Permit

Prior experience working with preschool-aged children

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for early childhood education and child development

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

Pediatric CPR and first aid training

Professional level knowledge of educational theory, child development, and teaching skills
