    Smoky Row Children's Center is a small business in Powell, OH. We are professional, collaborative, engaging and our goal is to provide each child with a secure, home-like atmosphere, not as a substitute for, but as an enrichment of family life. To encourage independence and self-direction by helping children learn to make their own choices and decisions. To provide children a chance to have fun, to be happy, to be safe. WE PROUDLY OFFER frequent, positive, warm interactions among adults and children. A curriculum compiled from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation Criteria and the Early Learning Content Standards from the Ohio Department of Education, ongoing assessments of each child’s learning and development with progress being communicated to the child’s family. Planned learning activities and materials appropriate to the children’s ages, development, and interests. Specially trained teachers, enough adults to respond to individual children, a healthy and safe environment for children, regular communication with parents, who are welcome visitors at all times.

    Smoky Row Children's Center has been providing high quality care for 40 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our staff of dedicated teachers. We provide a professional environment with low child/teacher ratios. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children and be able to create a fun and engaging play-based learning environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of children at all times.

    Supporting each child’s social, emotional and intellectual growth and development.

    Assist children when needed with potty training and diapering.

    Guide the children through play-based activities.

    Provide support with solving social problems.

    Maintaining communication with parents, teachers and administrators.

    Assist in planning and implementing play-based activities.

    Assess children's development progress and discuss with parents or guardians.

    Maintain records of children's progress and development.
