    · Oversee the smooth running of the classroom on a daily basis.

    · Plan weekly lesson plans for the class aligned with state standards and Ducklings themes. Note individualized learning goals for each child. Document these plans in Brightwheel by the due date set forth by the director.

    · Implement daily learning activities for your class as stated in your lesson plan and accurately document all daily activity in Brightwheel.

    · Use Brightwheel to take photographs of the children engaged in daily activities. These photos should be used for 1) observations/documentation for assessments and 2) parent engagement.

    · Complete quarterly child assessments according to required schedule for each child using Teaching Strategies Gold and be available for Parent Conferences upon request.

    · Maintain emergency files for each child.

    · Be the parent’s main contact for information regarding their child.

    · Ensure that classroom meets all requirements set forth by the state and accrediting agencies.

    · Decorate class monthly according to season or theme.

    · Maintain storage of children’s belongings and classroom necessities.

    · Prepare ahead of time for new students (i.e. have their cubby ready and labeled on their first day).

    · Administer care to each child as per schedule and individual needs.

    · Appropriately and accurately document all injuries and incidents via Brightwheel.

    · Clean room in accordance with daily cleaning schedule and state regulations.

    · Attend staff meetings, required trainings and additional professional development sessions as needed.

    · Assist with planning and participate in special events throughout the year including but not limited to Parent Night, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Extravaganza, Graduation, etc.

    · Lead by example; follow all of Ducklings policies and expect the same from your Aides.

    · Always adhere to best practices with care of children and classroom.

    Help to contribute to Ducklings overall success by being a part of the team beyond your classroom; i.e. : help with special events and celebrations, help to decorate common areas of the building, maintain order in common storage areas and play space.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Preschool Teacher preferred
    • Strong understanding of child development theories and practices
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
    • Familiarity with early childhood education standards and best practices
    • Certification in CPR and First Aid
    • Experience working with diverse student populations
    • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
