Support the commercial organization’s goal to create profitable new items and programs by supporting product development.
Prepare and review prices, terms and allowances utilized through the bidding process.
Maintain and increase overall company margins through pricing and mix at the account, division, and item level
Assist in projecting, measuring, and explaining pricing and margin variances.
Review pricing issues and resolve or use appropriate judgement to elevate to the next level when needed.
Review, investigate and make decisions regarding pricing discrepancies on purchase orders.
Review and apply profitability targets to ensure that appropriate pricing structure and margins are maintained.
Complete SKU level evaluation and analysis.
Acquire pricing approvals in compliance with the company’s delegation of authority
Maintain knowledge of the company’s sales channels with awareness of the potential conflicts to other customers or programs.
Compute costs used for pricing and inventory valuation.
Assist in ensuring that forecasted price/mix goals are met for domestic, export, and direct import sales.
Identify low margin items, accounts, product lines and work with sales to make improvements.
Provide guidance regarding potential vendor charges to improve or maintain our margin.
Prepare/maintain ad hoc reports for analyzing sales and margin at the division, account, and item level as requested.
Special projects including analysis of specific data (i.e., make or buy decisions), physical inventories, due diligence, etc.
Use analytical skills to generate detailed quantitative sales reports by client, program, and channel of distribution to assist in sales revenue, sell-through, and product inventory projections.
Develop and deliver recommendations on SKU assortment, product placement and sell-through.
Support ad hoc requests from various areas of the organization including Finance, Inventory Planning, Product Development, Marketing and Sales.
Serve as the lead contact and owner of client performance data.
Participate in meetings/consensus calls with internal teams to review sales, trends, and recommendations.

Required Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant degree.
1-3 years of experience performing profitability, cost, or sales analysis in the consumer products (or related) industry.
Proven ability to manage confidential data related to customers, prices, products, costs, profit margins and due diligence.
Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, nested formulas, filters, etc.); Intermediate experience level in Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to navigate conflict and work toward resolution when competing priorities arise.
Ability to balance multiple deliverables; organize, prioritize, manage timely completion.
Preferred:
Prior experience managing corporate margin through price, mix, costs.
Understanding of commercialization cost and go to market costs for consumer package goods.
Understanding of manufacturing finance (i.e. standard costing, manufacturing variances, operating costs).
Understanding of retail price points and profit margins with deductive reasoning, statistical analysis, mathematical, accounting and communication skills.
Experience with navigating through single/multiple ERP systems
Qualifications
Bachelors with minimum 15 years experience or equivalent relevant work experience. Bachelors maybe substituted 2 for 1, in addition to the relevant work experience requirements.
