Job Description
The Pricing Analyst I prepares proposals in support of EFW’s business development and existing sole source production objectives as well as providing support for customer required fact-finding and negotiation activities. This is an entry level job into the pricing function.
_ Responsibilities and Tasks in order of priority to be successful_
• Follow existing estimating and pricing policies and standard operating procedures.
• Price all proposals in accordance with US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR and DFAR).
• Prepare proposals in accordance with customer RFP (Request for Proposal) requirements.
• Prepare proposals in accordance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and company disclosure statement.
• Work to ensure that proposals are submitted in line with RFP due dates.
• Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, and the Program Office to ensure that all costs are adequately covered in cost estimates.
• Prepare support packages including all relevant cost and pricing data for efforts exceeding the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold. All proposals exceeding the TINA threshold will be reviewed by pricing management.
• Attend customer fact-finding and negotiation activities in a supporting capacity with pricing management serving as the focal point of contact related to pricing issues.
• Support DCAA audits of proposals submitted for US Government efforts with oversight from pricing management.
• Work with the Program Office, Engineering, Operations, Support Services & Solutions (SS&S), and major subcontractors/suppliers in development of comprehensive cost estimates used in competitive proposal efforts.
• Occasionally serve as a Cost Volume author for competitive proposal. Inputs will be reviewed by pricing management prior to final Cost Volume submittal
• Participate in a supporting role in meetings with senior management on cost estimates for competitive proposal efforts with pricing management serving as the focal point of contact.
• Research historical actuals to be utilized in proposal preparation.
• The Pricing Analyst I role is an entry level position which will learn the pricing/proposal
preparation process.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree is required
• 1-3 years of functional (using skill set) experience is required
• Entry level management experience is required
• 1-3 years of industry experience is required
• Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):
• ESD
• Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department
• Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
• Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
_ Skills and Abilities_
• FAR/DFAR - strong working knowledge.
• TINA - strong working knowledge.
• CAS - strong working knowledge
• Microsoft Office - strong working knowledge
• Aerospace, Military or similar industry.
