    JOB SUMMARY The Primary Care Clinic Manager is responsible for the day to day management of Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists, in the clinic operations, to ensure a productive and participant centered environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Monitor and coordinate Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists staffing needs with respect to participant demand, physician schedules and available support staff.

    Recommend need for additional staff to the Director of Clinical Services.

    Provide regular status updates to the Director of Clinical Services and work toward achieving performance improvement goals.

    Evaluate clinic operations, monitor trends, and implement changes, as required, to improve practice operations and participant flow.

    Assist with the development and updates of policies and procedures for participant care, provider authorization, safety and regulatory requirements.

    Ensure accurate and timely completion of all physician documentation/chart notes and orders.

    Act as a liaison to participants, Primary Care Providers, administration, coding and claims personnel and outside vendors to ensure good communication and efficient workflow practices.

    Provide timely performance reviews and ensure that staff is provided with the necessary training, performance improvement goal expectations, and resources to perform their job duties.

    Maintain clinic supply inventory and coordinate purchasing.

    Remain current in primary care site management through literature review and attendance in appropriate training and seminars.

    Two days prior to participants appointment, reviews participants charts and checks that all pertinent information is up-to-date including current referrals and test results.

    Rooms participants upon arrival, documenting participants vital signs and chief complaint in the participants chart. Confirms current medication list and any additional information as instructed by PCP.

    Conduct regular staff meetings to include daily morning huddles.

    Actively participant in department and PCP meetings.

    Participating in end-of-life care coordination and support.

    Will provide vaccination services in the clinic as ordered by PCP

    Review participant medical records to ensure timely and accurate clinic staff documentation.

    Ensure that all clinic areas are stocked with necessary supplies and materials and that all emergency equipment is available and in working order.

    Maintain confidentiality of participant information

    Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects and policies including assigned break times and attendance.

    Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner; ad perform all other related duties as assigned.

    Be flexible in schedule of hours worked.

    May require use of personal vehicle.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING

    Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.

    CPR certification

    Minimum of four (4) years of Medical Assistant experience required.

    Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.

    Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail and elderly population.

    Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.

    SKILLS AND ABILITY

    Broad knowledge base of physical, mental, and social needs of the frail elderly population.

    Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.

    Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment,

    Possess management and leadership skills.

    Experienced in physical assessment and triaging.

    Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions.

    Able to effectively prepare and maintain records, write reports, and respond to correspondence.

    Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

    Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, medical staff, staff members, and family caregivers in a pleasant, patient, and professional manner.

    Well organized, dependable, flexible and resourceful.
