We are looking for a Medical Assistant who loves helping her community; we are an established facility in south central phoenix, we have a passion for helping and caring for children, and their families. The perfect candidate will be able to work independently, and multitask, have excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: Competitive Salary starts at 17.50 due on experience.

    Experience:

    medical assistant: 1 year (Required)

    EMR systems: 1 year (Required)

    Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

    medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

    ECW experienced (Preferred)

    License:

    Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (Required)

    Clinical Duties:

    Documents chief complaint, takes and records vital signs and completes history questions per procedure.

    Uses proper charting procedure, i.e., noting date, time signature and job title.

    Plots growth grids in pediatrics.

    Manages telephone, messages, and redirect phone lines.

    Records and documents all injections and/or immunizations given, including lot #, location and initials orders in accordance with procedure.

    Completes chart prep for assigned provider daily to include review of ASIIS and enter into EMR as appropriate.

    Manages the accountability board/sheet in their care team daily.

    Handles sterile and dirty instruments used in the departments according to instrument processing procedures.

    Keeps exam rooms/procedure rooms stocked/set up according to departmental guidelines.

    Maintains, cleans and calibrates medical equipment to meet quality assurance and infection control guidelines (logs). Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor; takes equipment out of service.

    Utilize and/or schedule interpreter services as needed by the patient.

    Schedules appointments either in person or over the phone.

    Redirects messages accordingly.

    Must be able to embrace differences among people and able to interact with internal staff as well as external contacts in a culturally competent and respectful manner.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
