    SUMMARY 

     The  Human Resources (HR) Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. They assist the Human Resources Manager with recruitment, maintaining employee records, and providing HR administrative support to all employees. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) entry.  

    MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS, schedules interviews with hiring manager, and sends out follow-up letters  
    • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR   
    • Completes I-9 Forms, verification, and maintenance of I-9 files   
    • Manages pre-employment assessments (DISC/PI) with new candidates and hiring managers   
    • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks and employee eligibility verifications  
    • Posts job advertisements to a variety of job boards and refreshes postings    
    • Creates and schedules  the orientation agenda for each new employee 
    • Maintain confidential medical records and vaccines requirements for employees   
    • Alert employees of expiring vaccinations and required testing   
    • Set up clinic appointments as necessary, such as not limited to, new employee drug tests/physicals, worksite incidents, etc.   
    • Validate and process requests from remote sites for badging and credentialing   
    • Upload needed credentialing documentation   
    • Enter OSCC recertification for security technicians, including background checks and scheduling drug screenings   
    • Follow up with injured employees to ensure compliance    
    • Assists with processing of terminations during offboarding process  
    • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process 
    • Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and answering questions  
    • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions  
    • Files documents into appropriate employee files  
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications  
    • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested  
    • Prepares new employee files  
    • Processes mail  
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

      

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills  
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail  
    • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures  
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines  
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment  
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS 

    •  Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience  
    • At least two years' related experience required   
    • SHRM-CP credential preferred but not required

      

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer  
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

      

    ADDITIONAL NOTES

    • Individuals with a felony or misdemeanor convictions MAY not be hired 

    • Individuals must not have any alcohol or drug-related convictions or suspensions within the past three years.

    • Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral & written communication skills.  

    • Individual must be able to pass a drug and physical screening as well as background requirements.
