    What will you be doing?

    Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Prime Risk Manager in New York, New York (multiple positions available):

    • Develop analytical tools, models, and margin products to facilitate financing across asset classes.
    • Perform quantitative and qualitative financial analysis of risk exposure for the financing counterparties of the business.
    • Assist Client and Prime FO desk in portfolio financing decision making.
    • Participate in Intracompany and Intercompany engagement with control partners and regulators. 5. Design, implement and improve analytics solutions to complex portfolios of risk.
    • Monitor and analyze the book dynamics to understand risk changes under different market conditions.
    • Follow market events closely and alert concentration risks proactively.
    • Engage with other units (QA/Technology) to understand risk generation and enhance risk data quality.
    • Collaborate with the Risk department to set risk appetite and analyze risk drivers.
    • May telecommute.

    Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $148K per year

    Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $175K per year

    The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

    This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.

    Purpose of the role

    To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.

    Accountabilities

    • Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
    • Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
    • Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
    • Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.

    • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
    • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
