As we continue our evolution and growth into a leading HCM SaaS technology provider to businesses ranging from 1 – 500 employees, we are seeking a Data Analytics Intern to work closely with our Service Strategy and Operations team. What you won’t do during a PrimePay internship: Gather everyone’s coffee orders and run errands.

What you will do during a PrimePay internship: Spend time with PrimePay’s Service department gathering data from multiple systems and creating singular view of the data.

The Data Analytics Intern should be highly analytical with a knack of data analysis, mathematics, computer science and statistics. You should have the ability to drive business results with data-based insights. The ideal candidate must have a keen interest in discovering hidden and analytical solutions to the complex problems faced and thereby improve business performance and outcomes.

The Data Analytics Intern will be a team member of our Service Strategy and Operations department. Interns can expect to assist the department with data and reporting initiatives and business insights and:

• Manage and automate data collection processes, report building and data sharing
• Update data models around key performance indicators
• Update documentation around business process
• Design systems to capture data as it is generated
• Run reports on demand as requested by the business unit
• Utilize Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI, to interrogate databases and generate useful insights and reports
• Structure unformatted data and interpret results
• Present and prepare charts and other consumable data in a visual form
• Design and optimize data models to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and opportunities for improvement
• Participate in data governance activities to ensure data models are aligned with enterprise standards and policies

Education and Experience:

• Ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analysis, or similar degree and has completed core coursework, including classes in SQL, data visualization, and database technologies
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on Excel
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and predictive analytic
• The candidate must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of SQL and data management
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently

PrimePay interns work full-time during assigned business hours throughout a nine-week program. The program runs from June 2023 through August 2023. Interns must be able to commit to all nine weeks.

The salary range for this internship is $25 - $30/hour based on experience.
