Staff Android Engineer (Principal Android Engineer) Location: Remote (PST) Duration: 6+ months

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff/Principal Android Engineer to drive high-impact performance initiatives and optimize mobile applications at scale. In this role, you’ll lead strategic improvements, analyze performance data, and implement solutions to enhance app responsiveness and user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead performance-focused Android development initiatives.

Develop and execute improvement plans based on performance data.

Optimize app responsiveness and address ANR (App Not Responding) issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance mobile user experience.

Communicate technical strategies effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Senior-Level Expertise: Must have Staff/Principal Engineer (or equivalent) experience. Android Performance Optimization: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Android development with a focus on performance improvements. Strategic Problem-Solving: Experience creating and executing performance improvement plans based on real data. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate technical insights and recommendations. B2C Mobile Experience (Preferred): Experience working on consumer-facing apps, including chatbots or messaging applications. ANR Troubleshooting (Preferred): Experience identifying and resolving ANR issues is a plus.
