    What do we need?

    We are seeking a Principal Engineer that will serve as a senior technical leader, driving the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions to support the company’s technology initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that align with Aspirion’s strategic goals.

    What will you provide?

    • Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex software and cloud-based solutions across the organization with an AI-first lens
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver scalable systems.
    • Serve as a technical advisor, providing guidance on best practices for coding, architecture, system design, and emerging technologies.
    • Own technical decision-making processes, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and efficient solutions are delivered.
    • Identify and drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and scalability, focusing on long-term sustainability.
    • Mentor and support junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct in-depth code reviews and ensure adherence to industry standards, coding practices, and security requirements.
    • Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems and promote the adoption of cloud-native technologies, automation, and DevSecOps practices.
    • Research and evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve engineering workflows and product delivery.
    • Work with leadership to align technical strategies with organizational goals and ensure the delivery of key business outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Proven expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), including designing and building scalable cloud-native applications
    • Strong experience with modern programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, or Go) and frameworks
    • Proficiency in software architecture patterns, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and serverless computing
    • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices
    • Strong background in security best practices, including data encryption, identity management, and compliance (HIPAA, NIST)
    • Expertise in performance optimization, system design, and troubleshooting complex technical challenges
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and technical decision-making skills
    • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to elevate team performance
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree is a plus
    • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior or principal engineering role

    The US base pay range is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a bonus tied to achieved results.
