    Job Description

    Function as sensor development technician on integrated product teams tasked with the development of chip scale image sensor and related night vision technology development. This position requires the ability to work across teams that are designing for ultra-high vacuum, semiconductor, high voltage applications.

    Responsible for conducting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work. Performs engineering tests, detailed experimental testing or operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Performs troubleshooting to determine problems in the process and/or related equipment. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, calibrates, aligns, assembles and operates equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.

    It is expected that the candidate will meticulously document process steps and work performed in the action of sensor development. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with the engineering staff, design team leaders and facility personnel.

    • Work with manufacturing engineering and other subject matter experts to insure designs are manufacturable to designed unit production cost targets.
    • Collaboration with manufacturing and operations to coordinate schedules for access to standard production equipment use.
    • Create, record and present test data for engineering team analysis.
    • Participate in peer reviews to provide input on manufacturing capability, failure modes, control planning and process qualification input.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, equivalent degree, or related work experience; manufacturing engineering support.
    • 9+ years of related work experience
    • Strong analytical abilities and trouble-shooting techniques.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Capable of performing process engineering tasks commensurate with experience.
    • Must be able to comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
    • Position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
    • Must be computer literate.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Vacuum technology experience
    • Semiconductor experience
    • Chemical etching experience
    • Clean Room experience
