    Job Description

    Acumatica is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to join our team in Bellevue, WA! This is a full-time role.

    As a Principal Network Engineer, you're a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex and high-performance network infrastructure, often leading teams and projects. In addition, provide ongoing operational support including break/fix, monitoring and capacity planning.

    Responsibilities:

    Network Design and Architecture:

    • Develop and implement resilient, high-performance network architectures, including multi-site and hybrid cloud solutions.

    • Design and implement solutions for enterprise-level IPv4/6 deployments.

    • Manage ISP relationships and IP Address Management (IPAM).

    • Produce or support high availability designs according to the needs of the business, operational requirements and approved product roadmap.

    Technical Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor network engineering teams.

    • Provide technical guidance and expertise on complex projects.

    • Serve as a technical lead within IT departments.

    • Produce and maintain documentation on current systems to a level sufficient to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity of support.

    Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

    • Provides support for troubleshooting network-related issues in cloud and on prem locations / environments.
    • Ensure optimal network performance and availability.

    Operations:

    • Configuration management of Arista / Cisco / Juniper switches, router, firewalls and Wi-Fi.

    • Implement and configure monitoring / alerting of all virtual and physical network devices.

    • Update firmware, manage device configurations and maintain global security standards

    • Provide out of business hours support as required by the business

    • Monitor, analyze, and report capacity of Network solution system utilization and perform growth analysis/capacity planning.

    Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Experience with various network technologies (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
    • Experience with network security technologies (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls).
    • Experience with Arista/Cisco/Juniper switches.
    • Experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls.
    • Experience with Juniper Mist AP’s.
    • Experience with NAS and SAN based storage solutions to include file-based and block-level storage devices
    • Experience with administration of networking technologies including LAN/WAN, wireless, load balancers, firewall and VPN
    • Thorough understanding of security concepts and putting those ideas into practice in a network environment.
    • Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Network architecture definition and design
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • The candidate must have the ability to make technical presentations to audiences of all levels (security personnel, upper management, system users)
    • Minimum of 10 years’ network experience with forward thinking technology focus
    • Self-starter – always looking for the next thing they can work on to improve the overall stability and quality of our environments.
    • Ability to lead and mentor teams.

    For this role, the salary range is $165,000-180,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.

    At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
