Position Title: Principal Scientist, Simulation and Modeling

    Department: R&D, Algorithm

    Reports to: CTO

    Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation and Modeling Scientist to join our dynamic team. You will contribute to our algorithm team, innovating and developing new features for our Cardiac Mapping and Ablation System. This role involves designing, implementing, and analyzing physics-based simulation workflows to enhance our cardiac mapping, ablation, and navigation technologies.

If you have a strong background in “Simulation”, “Electromagnetic Field Theory”, “Magnetic and/or Impedance Localization” and enjoy solving complex problems and want to be part of the development of an impactful product, we encourage you to apply.

    Duties and Responsibilities

The following are the major responsibilities needed for the role. Additional responsibilities, tasks, and duties will be assigned and required as needed.

    • Lead advanced electromagnetic simulations for R&D projects.
    • Utilize simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, Ansys) for electromagnetic analysis.
    • Ensure simulation accuracy through validation and verification.
    • Develop simulation workflows for high voltage electric pulse effects on cardiac tissues.
    • Conduct studies on electroporation in cardiac tissues.
    • Integrate simulation results into product development.
    • Collaborate to interpret and integrate simulation results into product design.
    • Develop and optimize algorithms for magnetic localization techniques.
    • Refine prototype algorithms and improve catheter navigation systems.
    • Design and implement algorithms using MATLAB or Python for signal processing.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Maintain design requirements and documentation.
    • Build consensus and support among stakeholders.
    • Coordinate resources and budget for efficient project completion. Promote collaboration, positivity, accountability, and resourcefulness.

    Experience, Education and Skills Required

Below are the minimum skills, formal education, certifications or training, and practical experience required to perform the general functions and duties of the role.

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics) with 6+ years of related experience; or Master’s/PhD.
    • Strong background in electromagnetism and electromagnetic field theory.
    • Extensive experience in electromagnetic simulations and modeling.
    • Experience with simulation software (COMSOL, Ansys, or Similar).
    • Experience with open-source FEM tools (FEniCS, FreeFEM, MFEM) is a plus.
    • Experience in magnetic and/or impedance localization techniques.
    • Proficiency in algorithm design and implementation using MATLAB or Python.
    • Experience with MATLAB, C/C++ for signal processing and algorithm development.
    • Technical expertise and ability to innovate solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Background in data science or machine learning is a plus.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage significant workloads and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
