A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Principal Software Engineer in San Diego, CA. The Principal Software Engineer would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Principal Software Engineer Highlights

• Schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm PST Monday – Friday
• Hybrid setup – 4 days onsite in San Diego, CA and 1 day remote per week.

Principal Software Engineer Compensation

• The pay for this position is $97.88 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Principal Software Engineer Responsibilities

· Develop, enhance, and sustain software systems within a cross-functional team environment, adhering to established design control processes and good engineering practices.

· Demonstrate working knowledge of software engineering practices, techniques, and processes, along with basic knowledge of technology trends and domain expertise.

· Understand and analyze requirements for individual components, translating analysis results into design solutions to address specific requirements.

· Develop modules with moderate guidance, applying knowledge and skills to a variety of standard activities. ****

Principal Software Engineer Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

· 5+ years of experience in software development.

· Demonstrated understanding of embedded, real-time, multi-threaded software design and development.

· Proficiency in C++/C programming.

· Experience with QNX OS is desired.

· Experience in computer networking is a plus.

· Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

· Understanding of development in a process-oriented/regulated environment and adherence to a quality management system.
