Principal Software Engineer (Data Platform Cortex Xpanse)

The Data Platform team in the Cortex Xpanse Engineering group is expanding, and we’re looking for a Principal Software Engineer.
In this role, you will select technology stacks, collaborate with other engineers, and own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing features that create the foundation for Xpanse’s Attack Surface Management product. You will draw upon your experience to rapidly investigate and prototype new functionality then switch to implementation mode to deliver products. You will guide and mentor your team in enterprise software development, architecture development, and technology evaluation. You will represent your team in architecture roadmap planning sessions, working regularly with other engineers, architects, and product managers.
You will be a technical leader within the team, with responsibility for mentoring and supporting your team members, building rapport with adjacent teams (to include other engineering teams and the end users), developing features from end to end, and supporting our systems in production. You will collaborate with the rest of the team on architectural direction, managing technical debt, and continuously evolving the team's agile development process.
Xpanse helps protect some of the world’s most important organizations by finding risks on the Internet that no one else can find. Your expertise will help define and secure the perimeters of the world's most important organizations.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147,000/YR - $237,500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
