    We are searching for a talented Assistant Designer/Product Developer (Apparel), We want to meet someone who is dynamic, highly motivated, efficient, and a hard-working individual. This dynamic person is a team player, able to take directions well, and has excellent communication and time management skills. We work in a cross-functional environment with exposures to aspects of manufacturing, sourcing, and design. We take pride in the quality of our apparel that have a great look and fit that meets our high level of quality standards.

    In this position, you must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Excel. This individual must have experience with technical flat sketches, spec creation, BOM's, fit comments, labels, and grading. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking production and purchase order management. This role will be working within our Production team. This role will report directly to the Sourcing Director. This position is located in Torrance, CA.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support all Calendar development activities

    • Help coordinate complete product development packages

    • Support seasonal sample tracking, receipt and organization

    • Help manage pre-production submits; tracking and receipt, ensure that logs are accurate and approvals are complete before bulk contracts are issued

    • Track deliverables and monitor production deadlines

    • Maintain data entry into multiple systems and ensure the integrity of the information

    • Provide technical communication and related follow-ups to ensure all vendors receive packages and are clear on development details.

    • Proactively document and represent vendor’s comments throughout Product Development process in all relevant meetings.

    • Define and address problems, issues and concerns with product coordinator.

    • Compose seasonal vendor development emails to ensure they arrive in-house on time for the appropriate meetings.

    • Maintain development files so they are organized, updated, and easily accessible.

    • Comment on/approve developments after proto review and finalization meetings.

    • Review & comment on Top of Production Samples (TOPS).

    • Follow up on Production Information (PI) sheets and check for accuracy. Assist in updating Purchase order hand off with PI updates.

    • PR and photo shoot samples: follow ups to ensure deadlines are met.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, or a combination of college education and related work experience

    • You have 1+ years garment production or product development experience

    • You have a solid handle on Excel (can perform complex functions), and have experience with PLM

    • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

    • Sound communication and analytical skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with vendors as well as Design, Buying, and other teams within the organization.

    • Ability to take direction, be proactive, be detail oriented, organized, and have strong problem-solving skills.

    PAY

    • $40,000 - $52,000 / yr
