    Job Description

    The Private Dining Associate plays a key support role in the execution and coordination of private events, catering, and banquets within an Eataly location. Working closely with the Private Dining Manager, this associate ensures smooth communication with guests, accurate planning, and seamless day-of coordination. The role requires excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail.

    Event Coordination & Guest Communication

    • Respond to private dining and event inquiries in a timely, professional manner
    • Schedule and conduct site visits or walkthroughs with potential clients
    • Support the preparation of proposals, contracts, and event orders (BEOs)
    • Assist with client communication pre- and post-event (menus, timelines, headcount changes, etc.)

    Administrative & Platform Support

    • Maintain accurate records in the event management platform (Tripleseat, Reposite, etc.)
    • Help track deposits, payments, and documentation
    • Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure event details are accurate and up to date
    • Print and prepare menus, signage, and event collateral as needed

    Day-of Event Support

    • Assist with event setup and breakdown in coordination with FOH and BOH teams
    • Greet and support clients and guests during events
    • Act as a liaison between the client and service team to ensure expectations are met
    • Monitor timelines and service flow to ensure smooth execution

    Reporting & Feedback

    • Support post-event recaps and feedback collection
    • Log guest feedback and support trend tracking for future improvements
    • Communicate frequently with the Private Dining Manager and Corporate Coordinator
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 1–2 years of experience in private dining, banqueting, catering, events, or a related field
    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and event platforms (experience with Tripleseat, Reposite, SevenRooms is a plus)
    • Able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedule
    • Passion for food, Italian culture, and guest hospitality
    • Must be able to work on-site at Eataly Chicago
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs during event setup/breakdown

    Additional Information

    Compensation: The hourly rate for this role is $20.00-$22.50 + commission.
