Sophos Speech and Academics is seeking an experienced educator who genuinely loves all students and has experience working with the neurodivergent student population Our ideal candidate could be full or part time, but is available between the hours of 10-6 pm, M- F. Instructors have the ability to make their own schedule and choose their own students. Our ideal candidate is flexible, personable, knowledgeable, and relationship-focused. This position will work closely with teachers and parents to craft instruction that best suits the individual needs of students. Ideally this candidate will provide custom instruction. Responsibilities: • Familiar with IEPs • Prepare for academic sessions • Built rapport with the student • Establish session expectations • Assess student academic needs • Provide student-centered instruction • Collaborate with teachers and other private instructors • Analyze student progress • Adjust instruction • Conference with parents Qualifications: • Effective parent and student communication • Highly reliable • Professional educator • Enjoys kids of all ages and abilities • Seeks to bring out the best in students • Flexible scheduling • BONUS: Loves Language Arts too!
