VALET TRASH OPS MANAGER (SOUTH AUSTIN)
WHO WE ARE:
We offer Valet Trash amenities at multifamily apartment complexes across Texas to the East Coast. Founded in Austin, Pro Valet Trash has been in business for over 10 years and growing rapidly. We have several good paying positions we are looking to fill immediately in the South Austin Region with growth opportunity. This is a ground floor but "senior" position so experience managing projects and teams will be required but enthusiastic candidates willing to learn are not discouraged! This is strenuous and fast paced work during service times, and some wizardry and levitation skills may be required. Please read the ad entirely before responding.
WHAT WE NEED:
This position is a "SUPERVISOR" position in plain fancy title language, working Full Time (3PM - MIDNIGHT) with us Sunday thru Thursday (5 Day/nights a week) at different locations within the assigned South Austin region (Downtown Austin > South > Dash of San Antonio). We need someone who will coordinate our area managers (2) and their team Members (25-30) with door trash pick at apartments. The scope of work for our operations team also includes maintaining/clearing dumpster and/or compactor areas on a nightly basis. This person will be highly effective with communication, planning, able to make creative decisions on the fly and lead by example. This person (along with area managers) will ensure all the properties in their area are completed each service night, as well as serve as an escalation path for any issues which the area managers cannot tackle.
You will be expected to pull trash from time to time (we are a trash and recycling eating machine) and your attitude and the expectations from your team should include your capability and willingness to do anything you ask them to, provide help when they need it, and do it better when need be. Getting some physical work in and showing how it's done doesn't hurt and is encouraged but primarily, you will be running the crews. This includes both training directly working along side them, and doing QA routes to ensure our customers are happy. This position will also be expected to visit each property in their region routinely to quickly say 'hi' to the onsite staff, so some engagement at the customer service level with both the leasing management and maintenance management will happen.
WHAT WE DO:
We enhance the living experience for residents of multi-family apartment communities by making their trash disappear (wizardry). We add value to the onsite management team by working closely with them to strategically manage their waste flow across the entire property. We run doorstep valet trash pick up routes, removing trash bags from their doorstep and throwing it away in the dumpsters facilities on the property. Easy. Each community has its nuances which you will learn and quickly know like the back of your hand. You will work with the daytime organization to be updated on any communication that comes in from the management which affects the night service, and occasionally we do lunch and stuff.
Location: SOUTH AUSTIN - although we work throughout Austin, this is your primary zone so this position works best if you are close to this location
Pay: $50,000 annually +Health Insurance package +Company Truck Provided +Company Laptop +Company Gas Card

** Ability to lift 70 - 100LBS down stairs
** Must be honest, hard working and have experience in project/crew management.
** Must have a smart phone and data plan.
