Probate, Estate, and Trust Administration Attorney (Part Time/Remote) Our expanding law firm is seeking a part-time probate, trust, and estate administration attorney. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration, along with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Responsibilities include preparing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, managing probate and trust administration matters, and advising clients throughout the estate process. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York, have a solid understanding of estate planning and probate laws, and possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of probate proceedings, including drafting and filing petitions, managing court deadlines, and overseeing estate distributions. • Administer trusts, including interpreting trust terms, handling asset transfers, and ensuring compliance with fiduciary responsibilities. • Advise clients on estate and trust administration processes, providing clear guidance and support. • Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, as needed. • Coordinate with beneficiaries, executors, trustees, and other parties involved in estate matters. • Handle communications and filings with courts, financial institutions, and government agencies. • Conduct legal research to resolve complex estate and trust issues. • Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive estate administration. • Maintain accurate and organized records of all case activities and communications. • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring all questions and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally. Qualifications: • Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years • Excellent communication skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Must be Licensed to Practice Law in the State of New York Compensation: $50 - $60 hourly
