This dual-role position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare legal documents, including wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, petitions, and powers of attorney, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards. • Manage and track the status of estates and trusts, maintaining compliance with court procedures and deadlines. • Conduct legal research and provide insights on estate planning, probate laws, and related legal issues to support attorneys and clients. • Liaise with clients, court clerks, and other parties to facilitate probate proceedings and ensure efficient communication. • Assist clients with long-term care planning, including submitting Medicaid applications and developing individualized care plans to meet their needs. • Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies to advocate for client needs and enhance service delivery. • Educate clients and families on long-term care benefits, advance directives, and estate planning options to empower informed decision-making. Qualifications: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Social Work, or a related field. • Legal experience preferred; experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law is highly desirable. • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to probate and long-term care. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills. • Crisis intervention skills are a plus. Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
