  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work.

    OR

    • An associate’s degree from an accredited university or college in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Work with two (2) years of experience in law enforcement, code or animal enforcement, probation or parole. This experience must include working directly with cases, caseloads, probationers, parolees, offenders, or high-risk clientele.

    OR

    • A high school diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of experience in law enforcement, code or animal enforcement, probation or parole. This experience must include working directly with cases, caseloads, probationers, parolees, offenders, or high-risk clientele.

    AND

    • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
      1. License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
      2. During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish
