    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We have an exciting opportunity to support our client in process chemistry. The Scientist will be responsible for executing the development / optimization / implementation of analytical methods for small molecule characterization. Another key responsibility is to execute routine sample testing in support of process development activities. Additional responsibilities will be to participate in writing/review documentations, performing data trending analysis, and other supporting others activities in laboratory as needed.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform analytical testing on small molecule pharmaceutical samples using methods such as HPLC(MS), GC(MS), KF, and NMR
    • Execute method development and optimization activities
    • Analyze experimental data and properly document experiments (electronic lab notebook and records).
    • Support process development activities and the execution of required analyses.
    • Generate protocols and reports on performed experiments.
    • Perform routine laboratory equipment maintenance.
    • Perform other laboratory based activities, as required.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline is required
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
    • A working knowledge of common analytical instrumentations (e.g. HPLC, GC, KF, NMR).
    • Hands on experience with one of the following: HPLC, GC, KF, NMR
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Ability to react quickly to changes in project priorities and timelines.
    • Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with a can-do attitude

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced Degree preferred
    • Experience with chromatography data management software (Empower/Chemstation/Openlab) is a plus.
    • Understanding of pharmaceuticals development and cGMP principles is a plus.

    Additional Information

    Position is Full Time, Monday – Friday First Shift with overtime as business needs require. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cambridge , MA are encouraged to apply.
