Job Description
The Entry-Level Process Engineer focuses on the design and engineering of manufacturing facility and equipment, supporting facility infrastructure and critical utility systems. Typical tasks include execution of engineering calculations including heat transfer and pressure drop calculations. The Entry-Level Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines. The Entry-Level Process Engineer may support field installation teams and execute construction site observations. This role is expected to work closely with other architects, engineers and designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible and complete design.

Self-checks own work but communicates often with peers and Supervisor.
Able to work on one or more projects concurrently and manage time effectively.
Solves complex problems under the direction and supervision of a mentor or supervisor
Project work may include all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration.
Works on matters of basic complexity in a support role under the direction of more experienced Process Engineers.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical or bioprocess engineering
0 to 3 years of experience in a design firm setting
Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, developing and implementing list of discipline systems designs
Fundamental experience with chemistry/biochemistry
Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances and basic sizing calculations
Fundamental experience with fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling and fundamental heat transfer
Strong communication skills and ability to participate in internal cross-discipline project team coordination
Proficient at fundamental discipline design calculations under the supervision of an engineer
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
Proficiency in engineering software applications including computer-aided drafting, process modeling and calculation programs
