As a Manufacturing / Process Engineer at Trèves, you will develop and utilize expertise in industrialization and methods to lead industrial projects into various phases: RFQ, Innovation, Industrialization, Expertise, and Productivity.
RFQ Phase
- Participate in process definition with the RPC (existing or innovating processes)
- Summarize process information with process experts for RFQ requests (multi-products/multi-process), taking into account existing industrial equipment and their current load: process, means, takt time, TRS, investment budgets (equipment & tooling), manpower, material consumption, energy, etc.
- Obtain validation of RFQ process hypothesis by the target plant depending on chosen PDI
- Integrate Lean manufacturing principles: flows, ergonomics, flexibility, etc.
- Standardize industrial choices: standards for equipment & tooling
Innovation Phase
- Participate in innovative process definition
- Validate industrial feasibility with Innovation Engineers
- Analyze impacts of technological changes
- Participate in prototype validation: pilot plant, prototype tools, etc.
- Benchmark: process, equipment, tools
- Participate in quotes for innovative products
- Validate RFQ hypothesis for innovative processes: process, equipment, takt time, TRS, investment budgets, equipment & tools, manpower, material consumption, energy, etc.
Industrialization Phase
- Validate & standardize industrial choices for equipment & tools
- Participate in Process FMEA
- Validate functional & technical requirements for equipment and tools
- Evaluate all refurbishment possibilities of existing equipment in the group, or second hand (GMAO database)
- Participate in consultations with suppliers and supplier nomination for equipment & tools in collaboration with purchasing department and plant
- Participate in validation studies for equipment & tools, follow equipment & tool manufacturing, participate in acceptance & installation in the plant
- Ensure the benchmarking of tools & equipment with suppliers before equipment is brought into the plant & in conjunction with the buying team
- Participate in layout & flow studies, taking into account plant constraints
- Support plants at different project milestones : prototypes, pre-production, off-tools, SOP
- Respect RFQ commitments (investment budget for equipment & tools, industrialization planning, cost saving, etc.)
- Integrate securitization questions (equipment and tools standardization) and equipment polyvalence
- Integrate Lean manufacturing principles: flows, ergonomics, flexibility, etc.
- Coordinate production transfers according to plants requests
Product / Process Expertise Phase
- Capitalize industrialization experience and share technical solutions with Engineering Manager
- Participate in product design, taking into account process constraints
- Support the product / process expertise in RFQ phase, development and serial life
- Support Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Group purchasing
