    Job Description

    We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our Winston-Salem team. This role will be instrumental in maintaining and optimising key engineering processes, including the installation and upkeep of system Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers, supporting process and product modifications, and leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive improvements in Visual Factory, material flow, waste reduction, and inventory control.

    Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

    • System BOMs & Routers: Develop, install, and maintain accurate system BOMs and routing information to support efficient manufacturing operations.
    • Process & Product Enhancements: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to processes and products, enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Lean Manufacturing Initiatives: Lead and engage in activities focused on: * Implementing Visual Factory concepts for improved workplace transparency and communication. * Optimising material flow to improve operational efficiency. * Identifying and eliminating waste to streamline production. * Developing strategies to minimise inventory levels while ensuring production requirements are met.
    • Continuous Improvement: Utilise Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process enhancements, analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to align on process goals and support the implementation of new processes and technologies.
    • Documentation & Compliance: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
    • Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to production staff on new processes, best practices, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
    • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt certification preferred).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to manufacturing processes.
    • Experience with Dynamics 365 or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for managing BOMs and routing information.
