Job Summary
We are seeking a Process P&ID Designer to join our team! You will be working closely with Engineering personnel to create and maintain intelligent Process P&ID Drawings that are detailed, accurate, and visually appealing. You will follow company CAD guidelines for all processes, including naming conventions, data storage, and layout standards. The ideal candidate has experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID, AVEVA Diagrams, Hexagon CADWorx P&ID, Hexagon Intergraph SmartP&ID or similar P&ID drafting software along with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Creation and maintain P&ID and PFD drawings according to design standards
Strong understanding of fundamentals of mechanical, piping, electrical, & instrumentation engineering disciplines, as they relate to intelligent P&ID creation
Able to understand and interpret drawing redline markup correctness and seek clarification if required from project stakeholders
Complete work in a timely manner
Work closely with other members of the drafting team as well as design partners to verify accuracy and details
Follow all company guidelines for best practices
Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
Track all time spent on projects accurately
Qualifications
Previous experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID, AVEVA Diagrams, Hexagon CADWorx P&ID, Hexagon Intergraph SmartP&ID, or similar software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
The ability to work well within a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
Interpersonal skills to work within a small team, taking direction from Engineering Personnel
Time management skills
The person in this position needs to operate a computer in a stationary position for the majority of their workday while occasionally moving outside the office to examine equipment and piping arrangements. This role will require occasional ascending and descending stairs and ladders to examine mechanical equipment and piping arrangements.
