AFRL/PK has an opportunity for promotion and/or management reassignment to join the Center staff team as a DO-03 Procurement Analyst. Staff professionals are responsible for fulfilling enterprise objectives and often conduct or direct activities that impact programs or the well-being of the entire contracting workforce. The Resource Management (PKX) division provides strategic management and force development of over 600 AFRL civilian contracting professionals.
As lead for AFRL/PKX, you will be directly involved in:
- Setting the course for the future of AFRL contracting
- Overseeing the development of recruiting initiatives to attract new talent and continually assessing the workforce climate to ensure the highest retention rate
- Collaborating with respective AF resource management and personnel teams for effective career development and outreach activities
- Ensuring continuously evolving workforce development improvement initiatives are incorporated into recruitment, training and development of the 1102 workforce
Position duties include but are not limited to:
- Serves as a business advisor, providing expert business guidance to contracting activities and/or acquisition team members, organization leadership, and contracting personnel.
- Provides guidance and support to include an integrated approach across organizations and agencies in the areas of workforce development.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with mission and business organizations, functional counterparts, and other federal agencies.
- Guide centrally-funded contracting interns such as Premier College Intern Program (PCIP), Copper Caps for the AFRL Contracting Community.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Males must register for the Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Ability to meet Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position
- I ncumbent must file annual financial disclosures (OGE 450) to ensure there are no conflicts of interest in the performance of these duties
- One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (DO-02 or equivalent)
Desired Qualifications
- An advanced understanding of the contracting career field and workforce development initiatives
- Experience in leading teams and collaboration
- Master’s Degree from an accredited school
- Completion of appropriate Professional Military Education (PME) for a staff leadership position
