  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The Procurement Analyst – Level 2 will ultimately be responsible for coordination and execution of all activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials and components with the Lead Procurement Analyst. Be an integral part of a team and communicate within the Supply Chain Department and Management to ensure success at each location.

    Responsibilities

    • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the purchasing function.
    • Assign inventory part numbers to open sales orders. Completes and maintains product specification files for all new or revised products/materials.
    • Designs, implements, manages, and monitors purchasing reporting systems to meet organizational requirements.
    • Maintains and verifies purchasing records such as items or services purchased, cost, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
    • Establish and participate in inventory count cycles.
    • Purchases the highest quality products and services at the lowest possible price.
    • Maintains stocking levels of inventoried items to ensure inventory is adequate for all required shipments.
    • Works on product revisions before re-print dates to ensure accurate and current products are available.
    • Prepares and issues purchase orders with prior approval.
    • Monitors material history reports to determine projected re-order points.
    • Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
    • Expedites delivery of goods to users.
    • Communicate with vendors for estimated/requested ship dates for ordered products.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business, materials management, or equivalent purchasing experience desired.
    • Minimum experience desired is 5-7 years in materials management or purchasing.
    • ISM Certification preferred.
    • Must maintain 100% of all factory-required training, including being 100% compliant within the first 30 days
