  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Manage the purchasing of all supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for the winery’s hospitality operations, including but not limited to glassware, linens, kitchen equipment, and other operational essentials
    • Review purchase orders for accuracy, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place
    • Maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery schedules to optimize cost efficiency while ensuring product quality
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with vendors to maintain adequate inventory to meet operational needs
    • Collaborate with the Hospitality and Kitchen Managers to forecast upcoming procurement needs based on events, seasonal demands, and operational changes
    • Oversee the shipping and receiving process of products, equipment, and supplies for the hospitality department, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately and efficiently
    • Inspect received goods for quality and quantity, ensuring compliance with purchase orders and report any discrepancies to suppliers or vendors
    • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to optimize space and accessibility for easy retrieval of items
    • Maintain accurate records of all received shipments and shipments sent out, ensuring all documentation (invoices, packing slips, etc.) are properly filed and accessible for audits within the hospitality operations
    • Regularly conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identifies low-stock items, ensuring shortages do not occur during operations
    • Assist in the preparation of periodic inventory reports and provide insights on procurement trends, needs, and adjustments
    • Restock wine and merchandise on sales floor
    • Work closely with the events team, kitchen, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of procurement and inventory requirements
    • Provide clear communication regarding delivery times, potential delays, and other logistics-related matters
    • Collaborate with the Finance department to ensure that procurement costs are in line with budgetary constraints
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2 – 3 years of experience in procurement, shipping/receiving or inventory management, preferably within the hospitality or winery industry
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with procurement software a plus
    • Experience driving a forklift
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred
    • Experience with inventory management systems and software is highly desirable
    • Knowledge of wine-related supplies, food service items, and event materials is a plus
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
    • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams

    Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
