    At Vireo Resources, we are seeking a talented Procurement Specialist who shares our vision and wants to help us fulfill our mission!

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Procurement Specialist is an attentive and team-oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks supporting the continuous operation of the business through purchase order management, inventory management and various other tasks as needed. They will also have a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide support to Procurement, Operations and Demand Planning by issuing purchase orders
    • Reconcile purchase order confirmations and manage in NetSuite
    • Review and maintain re-order points for stock items
    • Provide potential process and system efficiency opportunities to promote and manage growth
    • Assist in managing supplier relationships, including compliance reporting
    • Gather data from different reports and align those reports to present to Procurement and Operations
    • Work with QA/QC to validate and ensure Receiving has all proper paperwork
    • Prepare and maintain purchase order data while supporting and increasing effectiveness and efficiency of processes
    • Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Procurement department
    • Work with internal departments to resolve delivery, pricing, availability, payment issues
    • Assist our production facilities in scheduling with inventory planning.
    • Cross trained to support multiple supply chain functions
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Purchasing experience required
    • College degree preferred
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Effective time management skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Great problem-solving skills

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Must be able to sit/stand for 8-10 hours
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
