    Job Description

    This role is accountable for strategically sourcing, managing and implementing procurement projects to support North America plant operations related to Outbound Logistics and Warehousing, ensuring best practice and best total cost of ownership.

    This role will also execute sourcing strategies at the direction of a Procurement Manager, supporting 19 plants in North America and will also participate in global sourcing initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute strategic sourcing activities for assigned spend categories of Logistics and Warehousing, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships whenever possible, under the supervision of the Procurement Manager
    • Proactively aligns stakeholders and necessary support internally for successful project implementation
    • Develops RFI / RFP / RFQ for new and existing Transportation Lanes and Warehousing Locations
    • Procures material/pricing from vendor in a cost-effective manner while remaining consistent with quality, delivery, and project priority
    • Negotiates vendor contracts, reviews and ensures vendor performance to assure contract fulfillment and internal customer satisfaction
    • Implement sourcing projects across multiple plants for standardization, preferred supplier utilization, cost savings and operational efficiencies
    • Researches and analyzes quotations received, selects or recommends vendor
    • Analyzes and reports preferred vendor utilization, savings project completion, supplier savings validations, inflation, inventory history, utilization/consumption, etc.
    • Takes proactive approach to resolve issues with vendors and internal customers utilizing organizational savvy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Assists with other / specific projects as needed
    • Builds trust based, service oriented, value-added relationships with suppliers, internal customers, teammates and cross-functional departments
    • Deliver cost savings to EBIT, CASH and Cost Avoidance targets
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related area. (Procurement/Supply Chain preferred)
    • Minimum 3-5 years procurement experience (exposure to negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing process)
    • Specific experience in Logistics/Warehousing preferred
    • Negotiation experience required
    • Experience and Knowledge of the Sourcing process
    • Systems: SAP, Business Warehouse, Microsoft Suite, Ariba Contract Management, Iasta Smartsource (or similar) e-sourcing platform

    Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is targeted to be up to $85,000 USD. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
