The company maintains operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States of America, India, China and elsewhere. The company is hiring a Procurement Specialist to assist the senior management team by fulfilling multiple procurement and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will contribute to the parent company’s ongoing commercial success and will also support the company’s operating subsidiaries.

    The Procurement Specialist will report directly to Procurement Manager.

    Master Data Management and Reporting

    Manage up-to-date Procurement master data including material master data, supplier master data / required certificates, price list, specification signed off, supplier conformance, responsible partner policy and security and safety standards.

    Collects, analyzes, reports, and interprets procurement data to identify trends, opportunities for cost saving and area for process improvement.

    Manage accurate and timely contract creation, sign-off and upload on system.

    Manage accurate and timely saving and pricing reporting.

    Procurement Process & Systems

    Responsible for compliance with legal requirements and procedures within own negotiations and contracts.

    Develop and implement best practices, standard documents and tools for own categories and actively feeding them into the continuous improvement process of standard as required and P2P process.

    Recommend procurement process improvements at the Group level; coordinates efforts with enterprise-wide Procurement team.

    Spend Management

    Execute full contracting cycle for spend material and services, from creation and administration of Tenders to the negotiation and closure of contract.

    Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with suppliers, ensuring products are delivered at good quality and service and with compliance

    Represents the company in handling complaints and or disputes with suppliers.

    Continuously scan the market to benchmark performance vs competitors.

    Strategic and Operational Excellence

    Manages category to ensure supply availability for business operations at the optimum level and efficient cost

    Lead sourcing strategy and process, contract negotiation and provide market trend of key category

    Source to contract including negotiating, sourcing with vendors according to specification, service, quality, pricing and condition

    Control spending budget and create long term cost saving culture

    Maintain and update relevant internal documents and databases, keep track of any relevant contractual agreements

    Establish procurement policies and operating practices and ensure compliance with company

    Working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms,

    Generate and track demonstrable saving through the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies

    Proactive to create the supplier catalogue

    Fast support in urgent cases to avoid short supply situations.

    Proactively control and follow to ensure compliance and regulation on Halal, HACCP etc.

    Execute procurement activities to meet requirements of the requesting department in terms of Quality, quantity, timeliness and cost effectiveness, payment term as well as in compliance with policies, procedures, and the predefined procurement strategies

    Register and maintain a list of approved and qualified suppliers and service providers by conducting supplier and risk management.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Right to work in USA for any employer

    Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience

    Cross functional experience in supply chain

    Computer proficiency in MS office programs. SAP, ERP experience preferred

    Strong communication (Speaking, reading, and writing) and negotiation skills
