Produce Clerk Job Summary

We are looking for a Produce Clerk to help out in the produce department of our grocery store. In this position, you are responsible for stocking the display cases at the beginning of the day, inspecting fruits and vegetables for damage or spoilage, and helping customers in your department. While we do not expect you to have any produce-specific experience, you should have a background in customer service. You also need to have the stamina to stay on your feet for a full shift.

Produce Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

Stock display cases at the start of the day

Keep displays stocked throughout your shift

Inspect produce for damage

Help customers in your department

Keep your workplace clean and organized

Produce Clerk Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Customer service experience

Produce knowledge

Physical stamina

Organizational skills

Ability to regularly lift 50lbs
