    Job Description

    This bilingual (Spanish/English) producer must be an expert collaborator, with the strong leadership and management skills required to take ownership of demanding productions, projects and shows. The producer will manage all aspects of assigned projects from conception to air for commercials, editorial series, development, branded entertainment, specials, syndicated programming and various other short and longform media for the businesses of NBCU Local Media.

    The ideal candidate will be an experienced producer with the proven ability to produce and manage complex productions in collaboration with clients and agencies. Additionally, this producer will have extensive production management experience in linear and digital series, including overseeing scheduling and project budgets. The right candidate will foster an empowering, collaborative, and inclusive culture that fuels creativity, innovation and achievement.

    The successful candidate will be punctual, fiscally responsible and savvy, highly organized, proactive, able to multi-task many projects, provide excellent client communication (both written and verbal) and manage both creative personalities and demanding clients with ease and diplomacy.

    In this role, the producer will be expected to comfortably lead creative discussions with production staff, brand clients and collaborators. The ideal candidate understands the current landscape of branded content and is constantly innovating and pushing the creative to speak to the current state of the world.

    Candidates must have strong command of and proven hands-on experience with producing, directing, writing, booking, budget management, research: any assortment of these skills are required for all assigned productions. Editing and camera operating skills are a big plus. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Travel is often required.

    Producing duties will include: collaborative creative development and ownership of the project’s vision, client interaction, location scouting, preparing relevant contracts and releases in conjunction with legal, coordinating preproduction communication, creation of call sheets and relevant crew information, oversight of on-set production, cost accounting, review and assessment of work product to ensure all team notes have been addressed.

    • Overseeing the development and execution of impactful storytelling and inventive production of both long and short form creative, for linear, digital and social.
    • Manage and lead all aspects of pre-production, production and post-production
    • Ensure creative ideation is executed
    • Build and maintain production documents such as shoot schedules, call sheets, and shot lists, gear lists, timelines, releases
    • Maintain deadlines for approval and deliveries
    • Clearly communicate and manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, goals and expectations with internal team members, management, external partners, and clients.
    • Be an exceptionally strong, polished, and confident communicator, both internally and externally with clients
    • Direct both talent and crew, with a curiosity to tell a deeper story
    • Stay current on industry and technology trends and foster innovative production solutions.
    • Navigate simultaneous demands, prioritize resources appropriately, and mitigate associated challenges.
    • Ensure all creative deliverables and assets adhere to standards and manage QC through post and delivery.
    • Facilitate all materials getting to their destinations on time, including final masters for trafficking.
    • Actualize, document, and archive all projects.
    • Anticipate and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of relevant production experience, with a producer-level background in production company, agency, or related environments
    • Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
    • Must possess organizational and problem-solving abilities, pivot quickly when needed
    • Proficiency in assessing budgets, schedules, and full-scale production plans for diverse program types (e.g., pilots, series).
    • Knowledge of the latest production techniques, sources, capabilities and overall industry best practice
    • Extensive knowledge of post-production and understanding of deliverables for all media platforms
    • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with clients interfacing and delivering branded content
    • Ability to build, and maintain budget
    • Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership abilities, including organization, accuracy, articulation, responsibility, flexibility, resourcefulness, and self-motivation.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to work cooperatively with both internal and outside production company executives
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
    • Reality show experience a plus
    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
