    Job Description

    HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    SG 10/11

    • Lead tire development projects for Original Equipment (OE) customers - design a product that meets all internal, customer, and external requirements, utilizing all relevant Continental tools/databases/portals.
    • Develop/execute design strategies for future OE tire development projects.
    • Plan, organize and support serial production release including the preparation of all internal release documents, test reports and risk analyses. Support and resolve design related manufacturing issues during this phase.
    • Plan, organize, support, and attend OE tire development project kick-off and pre-builds in plant when needed, ensuring good communication and synergies between design and manufacturing processes. (5-10% travel time)
    • Plan, organize, support, and execute OE tire development test plans using OE customer specific test methods when needed.
    • Plan, organize, support, and execute virtual test plans (simulation) using standardized internal methods.
    • Continuously compare test and simulation results with requirements and incorporate learnings into design strategy.
    • Support activities with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure flawless launch of OE tires.
    • Support plant organization in the maintenance and updating of serials specifications meeting all internal, customer, and external requirements.
    • Lead/support tire line development activities and/or technology projects as needed.
    • Continuously share and look for learning opportunities in tire science using internal and external resources, particularly related to areas impacting tire performances required by customers.
    • Share lessons learned with cross-functional team members to prevent repeat quality issues and improve the development process.

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related sciences
    • 2+ years Product or Technology Development Experience
    • Experience in project management.
    • Presentation experience using Microsoft Office.
    • Fluent in English language(spoken and written).
    • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
