Here at NBCU, we strive to be on the forefront of leading-edge technology and are seeking a savvy troop of technologists we call Media Tech Interns.

Our program exposes students to technical opportunities across NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology organizations and serves as a main pipeline into our Rotational Associate Programs. As a NBCUniversal Media Tech Intern, you will gain hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical situations. We offer a 2 day in-person orientation in our NY office where we bring all interns together to meet each other and various business leaders.

Students will experience firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world operates and delivers strategic, innovative solutions.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

    • Enterprise Product, Architecture & Design: Product Operations is an org within Enterprise Product meant to provide process improvement and automation using a data-driven mindset. Over the past year we have focused on increasing our data integrity to allow us to tell better story while also integrating our in-house applications with an app called Pendo that provides Product Analytics to our Product teams to help us make better decisions. From March to August, we also ran a Transformation project called "Ways of Working" where we hosted workshops with 200+ leaders across O&T to provide feedback on which pieces of their job are most challenging today. We have been analyzing that data and are entering a season of change, experimentation, and growth as we pursue solutions accordingly. There are 3 Product Analysts on our team that drive these functions forward. This intern would be exposed to perhaps one of the biggest and widest spread initiatives O&T has seen in a long time, Ways of Working will touch Business Solutions, Enterprise Product, Enterprise Engineering, Media Operations and more. We are leading the charge to help us all get "better at working", examples include reducing meeting fatigue, improving global taxonomy across all groups, visibility into LRP and how to set proper OKRs. In addition, they would have a front row seat to watch a brand-new function get stood up and socialized (Product Delivery) inside of a brand-new org (Product Operations) that is only 14 months old. Product Ops has been a long time in the making to empower Product to build good Products and not worry about the in between. We'd be thrilled to welcome another individual to help and be a critical piece of building this new org.

    • Enterprise Product, Content Supply Chain: NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. Our team is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Scheduling & Distribution, and Entitlements. We work with Business Units, Business Solutions, Software Engineering, Video Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Multiple Operations teams, DTC to deliver impactful business outcomes. As a part of the Product team, the individual will work on destination architecture products in the Scheduling & Distribution domain.
