    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    As the Product Technology Specialist at Loma Systems, you will be the pivotal link between our R&D team and the sales and service teams. Your role is to optimize the technical performance of our products, ensuring they meet and exceed market demands. By leveraging your deep understanding of Loma’s equipment, regulatory obligations, and the North American (NA) inspection market, you will drive the commercial success of Loma Systems. You will also act as the subject matter expert for external stakeholders, enhancing product knowledge through training and supporting the strategic direction of our business.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the NA inspection market and customer needs through research, data analysis, and customer feedback. Utilize these insights to influence product and service sales strategies and enhance the sales team's understanding of Loma’s product value proposition.
    • Provide input and influence Research &Development (R&D)/Customer-Based-Innovation (CBI) focus areas, maintaining regular communication with the UK team on CBI and Front-to-Back (FTB) projects to align on product development priorities.
    • Facilitate successful product launches to ensure effective market penetration, coordinating closely with various departments to streamline processes.
    • Enhance the technical expertise of the sales and service teams by developing and delivering training on product capabilities and line integration.
    • Strengthen Loma’s position as a leader in product inspection technology by conducting technical webinars, participating in tradeshows, and increasing industry visibility.
    • Conduct product testing and reporting to maximize machine capability, using findings to support the sales process and improve product performance.
    • Analyse trends in non-conformances on customer orders, advising on product and process improvements. Define standard vs. custom parameters and assess the feasibility of custom solutions.
    • Contribute to Loma’s Quality program, aiming to reduce non-conformances and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Act as the go-to expert for escalations and focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support the implementation of a seamless process from order specification to design, processing, build, and successful installation.
    • Ensure products comply with regulatory requirements (OSHA, UL, CE, etc.), and assume the role of Loma NA Radiation Safety Officer.
    • Participate in defining and implementing standards for NA operations.

    Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with an engineering discipline.
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders.
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend tradeshows (20%-25% travel required).
    • Demonstrated ability to translate R&D theory into practical, commercial applications.
    • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor communication styles to different stakeholders.
    • Strong data analysis skills.
