    We're looking for a passionate, driven, and organized Production Associate who loves to create community and conviviality. Care of Chan's event productions range from intimate dinners, festive picnics, and cookbook shoots to theatrical premieres, fashion launches, and some of the industry's most exciting food festivals. We welcome applicants who appreciate the meticulous details that go into every event production, large or small, and who are eager to work in a fast-paced agency environment. This role reports into the Director of Production.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a key support to our Production Managers on the execution of all Care of Chan events. This includes helping to drive forward timelines, ensuring all work is of a high standard, and following all necessary templates and protocols as directed by the Production Managers and Director of Production.
    • Execute administrative tasks across event productions under the direction of the Production Managers and Director of Production, including but not limited to: assisting external Producers in understanding Care of Chan's systems and processes, reconciling event budgets and expenses, tracking receipts, conducting vendor or venue research and outreach, conducting production assistant outreach, scheduling and attending site visits, booking production team travel and accommodations.
    • Provide support onsite at events as needed, including ensuring that the execution of all essential production elements such as equipment, rentals, menu, food & beverage, and talent needs are completed at the highest standards. Support with management of vendors and staff, and facilitate Care of Chan systems and protocols on site.
    • Maintain Production Department databases of all preferred suppliers, vendors, talent, and venues, including updating GPS/Launchmetrics.
    • Foster relationships with key vendors and venues.
    • Research current food trends, chefs and restaurants both locally and internationally.
    • Manage inventory of the Production Storage Unit, including maintaining organization and event supply restocks.

    Requirements:

    • 3 years of event production experience required
    • Agency experience in client services and/or production is preferred
    • Demonstrates an understanding of experiential marketing production elements, including but not limited to budgeting, logistics, contracting, vendor categories and management, venue capabilities, onsite execution, etc.
    • Possesses exceptional written and oral communication skills, and administrative skills
    • Experience working on a variety of productions, ranging from large-scale custom experiences to small-scale turnkey events, preferably in the food, fashion, design, and/or entertainment sectors
    • Must live in the NY metro area: our team is required to be in the office three days per week, and proximity to NYC event sites is required
    • Willingness to travel; many of our events are in key markets across the country (travel approximately 20% of the time)
    • Ability to adapt to the quick-moving pace and frequent pivoting of agency work
    • Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, Slack, and other project tools such as Asana, Docusign, Adobe Suite, etc.
    • Solutions-oriented: relishes challenges, handles pressure well and can think on their feet while coordinating with others to proactively meet deadlines
    • Thoughtful communicator: you receive and provide feedback graciously, you anticipate and proactively ask for what is needed
    • Hospitality oriented: Making the clients happy and the event a success are your top priorities
    • Highly organized; you will be working on multiple projects at once

    This role is a hybrid position, based in the New York metro area. Our team is required to work from our office in Lower Manhattan three days per week, in addition to onsite event requirements (willing to travel up to 20% of the time).

    The base salary range for this role is $60K - $75K.

    In accordance with NY law, the range provided is Care of Chan's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, and skills.
