In business for over 17 years, Green Energy Biofuel LLC (GEB) is a recycling company that specializes in supplying biofuel feedstock to the largest biofuel producers in the world. Biofuels are derived from renewable organic materials, such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and recycled cooking oil, making them a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option compared to conventional fossil fuels.
Our primary focus is on collecting waste cooking oil from various sources, including restaurants, food manufacturers, and other establishments. Recently GEB has expanded its services to include composting and depackaging to separate High Oil Yield (HOY) food waste from packaging to further assist food manufacturers in reduction of waste.
Safety First: Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations to uphold a strong safety culture. Identify and promptly address workplace hazards.
Pressure wash, repair and paint collection bins
Drive company vehicles to service customer sites.
Check the equipment to make sure you have an adequate water supply and that it is working properly
Operate pressure washer machinery to clean surfaces
Inspect the surface area after the washing to ensure it is clear of dirt and debris
Clear the job site and store all hoses and equipment correctly
Follow all safety protocols to prevent damage or injury
The ability to handle and follow all safety protocols when using chemicals
As needed, drive non CDL company vehicle to deliver and/or swap collection bins for new and existing vendors and to collect used cooking oil
Ensure vehicles and equipment are clean, safe and kept in working order including knowledge of mechanics sufficient to make minor repairs while on the road.
Promptly report any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, or in the event of irregularities relating to loading or delivery of materials.
Collect used cooking oil (UCO) from client receptacles based on routes, transport UCO to appropriate locations for processing, and accurately log information into the database.
Be prepared to add stops during route for emergency pickups as needed
Collect samples, as needed, at bin stop locations.
Utilize door tag system
Ensure locks are on bins and secured.
Note any suspicion of theft in Greasr by leaving a note, taking pictures and alerting supervisor
Assist with un/loading trucks, process oil, move product from tank to tank
Support company sustainability initiatives
Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Previous route driving experience, CDL not required
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and drag heavy items weighing in excess of 50 lbs, climb safely on fixed ladders, tolerate outdoor temperatures and work in a foul-smelling environment
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Knowledge and experience in the use of various hand tools
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee has to be able to enter and exit a truck and lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds at times. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday.
