    Job Description

    The Production Coordinator’s (PC) role is to promote an engaged and safe work environment, set and measure productivity standards, understand and reduce costs, produce on-time delivery, develop employees/teams, reward for performance, and be a positive culture steward. This position will be responsible for the 3rd shift operations of the Tubular Wire business at the Piqua facility and report to the Operations Manager.

    • Foster team safety awareness and address safety concerns.
    • Coach and develop teams to maintain positive attitudes, accountability, and manufacturing quality.
    • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance the manufacturing environment in response to customer needs.
    • Lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives through employee involvement.
    • Implement standardized methods and best practices through cross-functional teams. - Manage hiring, staffing, and facility operations.
    • Conduct performance and disciplinary management.
    • Lead, develop, and mentor team members across various areas.
    • Coordinate shifts and prioritize scheduling for efficient operations.
    • Cultivate relationships, maintain visibility, and encourage innovation.
    • Facilitate effective communication across all organizational levels.
    • Demonstrate and coach team members on ITW Culture and values.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate Degree in Business Administration or Engineering Technology (or attainment within five (5) years of placement).
    • Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with prior experience at Hobart.
    • Able to articulate, demonstrate, and effectively utilize ITW manufacturing principles and ITW Toolbox (80/20, MRD, etc.) in a manufacturing environment to foster continuous improvement of people, processes, and products.
    • Proven problem-solving skills, including analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Be customer-focused with management, support staff, customers, and suppliers; understand how the business functions (engineering, materials, and sales) link together to support the customer.
    • Exhibit encouragement of diverse ideas, focus on coaching and developing team members' strengths, and facilitate effective communication between shifts.
    • Skilled at performance management, providing formal and informal feedback to employees.
    • Possess the track record of a proven leader and team player, demonstrates a positive attitude, takes personal accountability, coaches, listens, is approachable, and resolves issues/conflicts promptly.
    • Must be self-driven and be able to motivate others, identify needs, and show the ability to make things happen with little supervision.
    • Active in continuing education and self-development, both formal and informal.
    • Ability to occasionally assist other shifts to cover for vacations, absences, and training.
    • Strong computer (Microsoft Office), oral and written communication skills, prior experience with Route Card system is a plus.
