    SUMMARY

    Hands on individual performing complex production extrusions on a daily basis. Works with Argos Corporation production technicians to support projects and ongoing technical needs related to production and process. Daily operations will be extruding tubing and profiles. Project examples include, new product development, ISO compliance, production efficiency improvements, new equipment needs, technical support of sales and marketing, and resolution of customer service concerns.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Work hands-on with extrusion technicians for all extrusion jobs.

    Work in a white room environment manufacturing single and multilumen, coextruded, bump/taper and other medical tubing.

    Become a subject matter expert in extrusion.

    Train current operators to advance to the next level.

    Provide support to production to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

    Set-up and start-up of extrusion equipment. Assist production and quality to meet production and customer demands.

    Transfer extrusion knowledge to production technicians and employees to assure they can meet challenges of manufacturing.

    Work with scheduling and production technicians to maintain efficient workflow and production scheduling.

    Promote and execute initiatives to improve or facilitate a safe and productive work environment. Work with production technicians and manufacturing employees to promote good work habits.

    Other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    Typical incumbent has a 4-year Engineering Degree and 0-5 years relevant experience, or equivalent.

    Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.

    Duties require professional verbal and written communication.

    Solid Works Knowledge a plus

    Working knowledge of Statistical Quality Methods is recommended.

    Ability to work with others in a team as well as an instructor and supervisor.

    Mechanical aptitude.
