    Company Overview:
    SpectraGraphics Inc. is a custom label converter located in Lenexa KS. We specialize in prime, thermal and expanded content labels in virtually all market segments. With over 50 years of experience in both flexographic and digital printing we are looking to add a designer to our team due to a pending retirement. We offer exceptional benefits as well as flexible schedules. We are well known for our employee retention and rarely have openings.

    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Graphic Designer to join our dynamic internal team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Adobe Cloud software and have some experience in web printing. However, for this position we are evaluating both entry level and experienced candidates. This position will report to the Graphics Department Manager and will entail training on some aspects of Graphic IT related design and production processing software.

    Position will likely be hourly pay plus over time.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Collaborate with sales, customer service, production and clients to ensure print ready and approved label graphics.
    - Utilize design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create and/or edit designs that meet project specifications, brand guidelines, industry regulations and printing constraints.
    - Prepare files for flexographic and digital production, ensuring accuracy in color, layout, and format.
    - Assist in the development of creative concepts and design briefs, contributing ideas to enhance the overall creative direction of projects.
    - Maintain an organized library of design assets, templates, and completed projects for easy access and reference among team members.
    - Conduct quality checks on all outgoing materials to ensure consistency and adherence to customer specifications.
    - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, print techniques, and software updates to continually enhance skills and deliver innovative solutions.
    - Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, customers and other departments to ensure timely delivery of projects and resolve any design-related issues.

    Qualifications:

    - Graphic Design fluency in Adobe AI, Photoshop or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    - 3-5 years of experience in a production/print graphic design role or a related position is preferred.
    - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Knowledge of additional design tools like variable data setup are a plus.
    - Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines.
    - Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    - Understanding of print production processes and specifications is highly desirable.
    - Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with a willingness to receive and implement feedback.
