Title: Production Manager
Location: Lehigh Valley, PA

A rapidly growing single -use food packaging manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager/Plant Manager for its primary production facility in Lehigh Valley, PA.

• Develop, implement and maintain KPI such as cost of production, OEE and safety.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of operators and team leads.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Ensure clear communication of goals and responsibilities to the production team.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve equipment and process issues.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to address non-conformance issues; implement changes to address non-conforming operational issues.
• Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
• Manage and control the production budget, striving for cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare and present regular production reports, including productivity, waste, downtime, and safety metrics.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategies to improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in paper packaging or a related manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of production planning, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles. Experience with ERP systems.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading production teams and driving process improvements.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different departments.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a fast-paced manufacturing facility, requiring frequent interaction with production floor personnel and occasional evening or weekend work to meet production targets.
